More info

The BR135 kit is when the GTR really starts to come alive. The engine bay transforms into a beautiful work of art, the intake air charges drops drastically and this kit takes you through the full bolt on (FBO) route of the GTR. With the BR135 kit you can expect your times to drop to 10.2’s at 132 mph on straight pump gas fuel. Adding the flex fuel option or using race gas it what takes the kit to the BR140 level and to achieve those trap speeds you will need to add in some weight reduction and good traction/conditions to the car.

While other companies name their packages based on some arbitrary and inflated horsepower calculation for flywheel numbers, we have a no non-sense approach here. The BR135 and BR140 name may not be as flashing or interesting as a huge dyno number but it is something everyone can relate to, 1/4 mile MPH results. Simply put the BR135 package is capable of 135 mph trap speeds in the 1/4 mile on pump gas. The BR140 is capable of 140 mph trap speeds using E85 or race gas and additional weight reduction.

We also pride ourselves on constantly striving to make parts that not only produce horsepower and will last a lifetime but that are lighter weight than what they replace. With the BR135 and BR140 package you will also take off up to 75.3 pounds.

The “BR135” kit will include the following:

BR GT-R 3” Intake Pipes Kit
BR GT-R Street FMIC Kit W/ TiAL Bov’s
BR GT-R Bov return deletion plugs
BR GT-R Ported Upper/Lower Intake Manifolds
BR GT-R Oil Catch Can Kit
    BR GT-R Coolant Overflow Kit
    BR GT-R 3” S.S. Downpipes
    BR GT-R 90mm S.S. Midpipe W/SS Muffler
    BR GT-R 90mm S.S. “SETT” Catback Exhaust
BR GT-R ULW Lithium Ion Mini Battery Kit
DW GT-R drop in fuel pumps
Fuel Injector Clinic 1050SP Plug & Play Injector Set
    COBB Tuning Accessport V3

NOTE: Using flex fuel or race gas is what takes the BR135 to the BR140 package level. When utilizing these gas types we highly recommend the BR GT-R Flex Fuel Kit.

NOTE:*2009-2011 vehicles require the 2012+ turbo inlets.

We would like to put a few things into perspective regarding packages, dyno numbers and the overall confusion with both. The “BR140” kit presented to you above makes 572 whp and 552 ft lbs. of torque on our Mustang 500 SE AWD Dyno. While these numbers seem low consider the following. Our dyno reads a verified 13% less whp than the industry standard Dynojet. We have actually had other tuners use our dyno in the past and set it up to read Dynojet numbers for advertising purposes! Doing so would put our GT-R at making 646 whp and 623 ft lbs. of torque.

To go farther down this rabbit hole there are other packages on the market today which offer “700 hp”. This "700 hp" number is derived from an actual 590 whp on a Dynojet that adds 20% for driveline loss. We hope some of you can now see the confusion all of this because IF we were to convert our packages to Dynojet numbers that would inflate the number by 13%. Add onto that another 20% for the theoretical flywheel number and that would bring the total to a whopping 33% more than what our Mustang dyno actually reads. Incase you don't have a calculator handy for comparison this would put our kit at 743 whp and 717 ft lbs. of torque at the flywheel.

IMPORTANT NOTE When your have a goal of setting records or even running times that would be in the ball park of records you have to get serious. We like to keep things very straight forward and in doing that give all the information that is needed. Weight reduction is crucial to going fast and it also makes for a much more reliable platform. It’s a lot easier to accelerate a 3000 pound vehicle than it is a 4,000 pounds vehicle!

Once you have built the GT-R to the BR155 level the car will be down in weight about 75 pounds from the stock weight. While that is a good savings it isn’t huge by any means. The items below are available in their respected section here on our site. The additional parts add the big weight savings items to your build, drop rotating weight putting more power to the ground and give you the traction you need to run 1.3 sixty foot times with a lower chance of breaking driveline parts. These components are key weight saving items that are vital to drawing out the true potential of your GT-R while not comprimising the integrity of it! These items include:

•Buschur Racing Spec Fortune 500 Coilovers. These coil overs reduce the weight of the car by 20 lbs.

•Volk TE37 rims for street use. These are the rims that we run and recommend due to thier function and form! Weight savings from these rims can be up to 53.8 lbs as we run the 18x10 in the front and 18x11 in the rear.

•CCM Brake Rotors. Adding these will not only save you an additional 59 lbs but, adds extraordinary stopping capabilities that will outshine your stock rotors tenfold.

•Buschur Racing Spec Bogart Rear Wheel Set **COMING SOON**. When used with Hoosier drag racing slicks this setup can net you a weight loss of 24.6 lbs. in the rear.
