The Buschur 2.0 engine has proven itself so many times. It's gone as quick as 7.3's and as fast as 197 mph in the 1/4 mile. We offer this engine with both standard steel rods and optional aluminum rods. At power levels over 700 whp the 4G63 block has been known to split the cylinder walls. This can be solved by hard blocking the engine but then limits the use and street miles you can put on the engine. RPM limits have been pushed to over 10,000 rpm with this engine.

This is the same shortblock that is ran in our world record setting BR Evo drag car (First Evo 8 in the 8's) as well as David's 9.0 sec street driven Evo, as well as it can be found in almost every high horsepower build that you see come out of the BR stable It will support over 900hp.

The components that are used in this kit are among the top engine internal suppliers in the automotive industry who has worked closely with Buschur Racing in developing the parts to our specific needs.

Each block is hot tanked, line honed, bored and honed with our torque plate, decked and painted.

What is included in the shortblock? With the Buschur Racing 2.0L shortblock you get the shortblock with the entire rotating assembly installed.

Our engines include:

  • Race earings (Rod, Main and Thrust)
  • Balanced & polished crank shaft
  • Buschur balance shaft eliminator kit
  • ARP Fasteners *does not include head studs)
  • Buschur Spec I-beam or aluminum Connecting Rods
  • Buschur Spec Forged Pistons with HD pins and new rings

Prior to assembly each engine is gone over thoroughly before we progress further into assembly here at Buschur's in order to avoid any and all situations that a customer may have.

Along with this engine we also recommend a complete engine gasket kit, new headstuds and all brand new belts & tensioners.

If you have had an engine failure we HIGHLY recommends a brand new oil cooler be purchased at the time of the engine rebuild. Failure to do so can have catastrophic consequences.

PLEASE NOTE: ***GOOD CORES ARE REQUIRED*** Additional CORE CHARGE of $2600 (price includes block ONLY! If a crank can not be supplied the crank core fee if an additional $1150. If the cores are not at our facility before your engine is ready to ship the core fee's will be in effect.
